If you use Payroll then you will have the ability to use TimeCard (Time Track) as long as you have a TimeCard license just as you have been.  The one enhancement/ideas site suggestion that we have had is for the ability to use TimeCard with Job Cost without requiring Payroll.  Currently Payroll is required to use TimeCard with Job Cost in Sage 100 2018 and above and this is no different than the legacy version(s).

Kent - is Payroll still required when using Time Track.  We are looking to have Time Track functionality while using an outside payroll service.

What about unchecking the box in PR Options "enable time card".  The help file said you can use time track to update to Job Cost without actually updating payroll.  Am I understanding that right?

As long as Payroll is activated for the company, you can enable Time Track in Job Cost and update the entries in Job Cost.  You don't need to pull the Time Track entries into Payroll.
