Changing employee status from terminated or inactive back to active

SOLVED

Client that I updated to 2018.4 late last week is noticing that they cannot seem to reactivate an employee that has not worked for about two years.   Seems like there are some that can be reactivated but others that cannot?   We have so far not been able to determine a pattern.

We have gotten around this for now by using DFDM to edit the status field, which I don't really want to have the client doing this as a normal process.

We have determined that any employee that has current timecard or payroll data entry in progress cannot have their status changed which makes sense.

Has anyone else seen this?

Tom, if you have 2017c or above, you can use a indexed search for things in Roles.  In the case above you can call up a Role and hit the search button, then type in "reactivate" and this would show you all the things in role maintenance where that is a description. (see image below).  You select the option in the search window and it'll take you right to the tab and option you want to modify.

This can be useful for finding menu selections, or security events/module options.

    Hope this helps

Yes.  I like that feature when it was added.   Problem here was that it was previously in payroll options so I didn't think to look in role maintenance.  Thank you.
