Did you find out the answer to this? I have a client who is able to print W-2s but is telling me the Maximum amounts are incorrect. I'm thinking because they are on the 2017 version they are not privy to an update that the newer versions are getting.

Thoughts?

Sage support indicated that W2s are not supported on 2017 and prior.  They didn't specifically say that it would not work.  I guess the bottom line is Sage does not support 2017 and prior versions.

What Maximum amounts are they talking about?

Thanks Bvulliamy, all I know so far is "Social Security Maximum". I'm trying to get more clarification. I'll post if and when I find out more.

If the issue is the maximum social security wage base then they didn't update it in the tax table maintenance.  If they ran payrolls in 2020 with the wrong limits and people exceed the limits they have a big mess on their hands.

2017 and older versions are retired and not supported for W-2 Processing.  There was no IRD issued and therefore there is no guarantee that the forms will print correctly.  Aatrix does offer a service where they will generate and mail the forms to the employees as a workaround.
