Payroll Tax Update

Sage 100 Standard.PVX 2023 (Version 7.20.2.0) (Payroll Version 2.24.0.0) 32-bit

Our office was just prompted to download and install a payroll tax update. We know we have to when the system interrupts our payroll processing with a notice stating "Checking for Payroll Data Entry in Progress". Just this part of it takes FOREVER and then we're able to see which payrolls we need to close out so we can proceed with the download and install.

Then it goes through the same lengthy process again...of "Checking for Payroll Data Entry in Progress"....then the download...then the install.

We've been all through that only to realize, when clicking on the payroll tax update report....that there are NO changes for this date.

The last install showing is dated 3-21-24.

Is there a workaround to avoid the time-consuming process of the payroll tax update...especially when there isn't actually a payroll tax update?

There was a tax update, but there were no changes to the Sage 100 system files. So the tax update report does not print. Please go here to see what has changed:

We will try to adjust this logic so that there will be an entry in the Payroll Tax Update drop box in this situation. Sorry for any confusion.
