Sage Cloud Hosting Providers (so few so frustrated)

Sage was not been helpful when recommending a cloud hosting provider and less so by recommending the few they did. It was frustrating and a waste of time talking to them and they kept referring us to links like this.  rightneworks? they are the quickbooks hosting company!

So in my research I found that there are primary 2 types of hosting providers.

  1. Ones that "just host" or
  2. Those that are authorized resellers/consultants and provide fully managed services.

Category 1: "Just Host." Rackspace, Swizznet and Insync were recommended.

Rackspace was, expensive.  The others pricing was more reasonable.  Citrix was something we were trying to move away from and we really wanted to let go of the management and maintenance of sage altogether.  Neither were unable to provide direct consulting/support.  In all fairness one of them said they could support or hire sage support but it was an edition I'd never heard of called "cre?"

Category 2: "All Inclusive." IB-N  and gotomyerp

So... On my own I found a handful of authorized sage consultants/resellers that provide cloud hosting service and narrowed down to 2. We spoke to IB-N and ultimately chose gotomyerp. Both had sage implementation and support experience along with being able to maintain the system and support our team. They were fast getting us an answer and friendly. The primary technical difference was that gotomyerp does not use citrix which was easier for us to manage and their price options were slightly better.

Sorry for the rant and that the list isn't comprehensive.  I thought it might be helpful to those who might be stuck too.
