Start an SO, set the order type to Quote, and type in the items / quantities there.  Save while they think about it... and a Quote can be easily converted to a Standard order if / when they are ready.

I will give that a try.  Quote is not something that I have used before but I figured there must be something.  Most of time it's a customer phone call just checking prices on several different items and the way I am looking them up seems so clunky and slow.  I appreciate the suggestion!

Quotes allow you to record what you told them over the phone, and you can send them a copy (with expiry date on how long you will guarantee those quoted prices).

Quotes also cannot be shipped, picking sheets won't print, and the quantities are not counted as OnSO.

You can go into Inventory, Explorer, Item Transaction View and filter by that customer and it will show you the prices for everything they have purchased.
