We are looking to start using Paya for our credit card processing but their costs are very unclear. We were told that there would be a monthly gateway cost for using mobile devices of around $15/mo. However, now we are being informed that this is the cost per device. When I asked about this, since it "seems" very expensive, I was told "we were told you are presently renting your devices". This doesn't make sense, since a) we are not, and would not have told them that and b) if this is a rental/lease fee, then why would we also need to shell out the $100ish per card reader up front? Perhaps we should shop elsewhere?
