Yes there is. With scanners you can program them to add a carriage return after the scan. I know because I have done it before.

You would need to get with the manufacturer of the scanner.  There is usually documentation on how to program the scanner.

Normally there is a manual or documentation with a set of bar codes. They tell you which bar codes to scan in what order and it will add one or two carriage return to each scan.
