AP, Vendor Maintenance, Vendor No, Typing part of vendor name, Vendor Name Not There

SOLVED

I'm using Sage 100 Standard 2020 (v6.20.1.0).

In AP, in Vendor Maintenance, Vendor No field, I'm looking for "International Paper".  I should be able to type "INTERN" in the Vendor No. field, and then I should see "INTERNATIONAL PAPER - ACH" appear on the flying list that appears, but it doesn't.

When I click on the magnifying glass button, select Name, Begins With, and type "INTERN", "INTERNATIONAL PAPER - ACH" comes up.

Does anyone know why doesn't "INTERNATIONAL PAPER - ACH" appear on the list from the Vendor No field?

Run Library master, utilities, build search index

Thank you for responding to my post.

I ran the build search index, but International Paper still doesn't appear on the list.

I did notice that I get several vendors that have "INTERNATIONAL" in their vendor name.  Although, I have no idea how Delta and JAS Forwarding end up on this list.

When I click on the magnifying glass, select Name, Contains, and type INTERN, I get a similar list to the flying list.  International Paper appears at the very bottom.  Different Division being a factor I suppose.

I think the flying list is limited to only 10 vendor names, so "International Paper" probably WOULD appear on the list, if only I had less than 10 vendors with INTERNATIONAL in their names.

I'm guessing that this functionality cannot be changed.

It has been a while since I looked at it.  Most of my clients don't agree with how the search functions.

    Hi

The search itself only lists the first 10 found items.  Keep in mind it searches fields that are not the vendor name as well.  For vendor the fields it searches are:  APDivisionNo, VendorNo, VendorName, AddressLine1, AddressLine2,AddressLine3, City, State, ZipCode, TelephoneNo, Reference,Comment, Sort.  In your list above DELTA JAS FORWARDING probably had matches in other fields.

You can further hone your search by typing other words or partial words if you know they are in the name, such as, "INT PAP"  that should find International Paper as it would match INTernational and PAPer.

    Hope this helps

    Thanks
