operating in Sage 100

i have old "incorrect" part numbers that i need to just completely delete out of our system. i tried to go to item maintenance and just delete it while everyone was out of the system and it wouldnt let me.

Pop up window came up and said to delete the part number in the utilities section of inventory management with the delete and change items function.

tried to do it there when everyone was out of the system and once again it would not let me.

it gave me a pop up that said

"you cannot procedd with  unposted data in SO invoice data entry...

for reference i tried to post this the day we did our end of the year and end of the month...that evening.

and invoice batches are posted everyday
