Service Based Company Seeks Same

We are a service oriented business serving the mid-Atlantic area using Sage 100 ERP.  The majority of our business is maintenance and repair of diesel engines.  Service calls come in and a tech is dispatched.  Work takes an average of 1-3 days.  Customer is then billed time and materials.  Looking for other service oriented businesses to discuss best practices in using Sales Order and Job Cost modules for this type of business.  Please post your thoughts or findings.  Thanks...

  • I would suggest talking with the reseller ASI Focus. They have a Service Center module that might be of help. Also I would suggest going to the Sage Summit next month and talk with people there.
