Trying to update prices and add vendors and bin locations

I am trying to import an updated price list from a single vendor, and want to import the primary vendor, as well as update bin locations. Using the VI price import job that was set up for us by our reseller, I tried adding the vendor, but got an error message that there was a missing vendor number in the APVendor Masterfile table. It is a vendor number that's in our system, so I'm not sure what I did wrong. Most of them did update but with invalid fields, i.e., the Primary Vendor

Also, there doesn't seem to be an option for importing a bin location, at least not in that job. Any ideas?

We are using Sage 100 4.5, although we plan to upgrade to 2014 as soon as we can get it scheduled. Will updating prices/info in that be any easier?

You are probably missing the Vendor Division Number. You have to include it even if you do not use divisions. If you do not use divisions then it is "00". The Bin locations is in the Item Wareshouse file while Vendor is kept in the CI_Item

Where do I put the "00"? In the "column/position" column? I wouldn't have thought of putting it in, since I can't even find a Vendor Division number anywhere in Vendor Maintenance. Thanks for the help, Louie. *NVM, when I added the field, it automatically populated it. Will it be a problem that the column that it's looking at for the data is blank?

Also, so you're saying that I can't update bin location at the same time, as they use different files? It appears to me, from looking at the current job, that fields can only be chosen from one table at a time.

I tried this, but apparently still have something set wrong, as I got the same error message.

What version are you using? All the way up to 4.4 you have to load the VPN and Vendor into IT_ItemVendor before you can associate the vendor / vpn in the CI_Item table via VI, so it is a job you run first.
