  • Will this release be available to customers in the UK?

  • in reply to Paul C

    Hi

Yes, and we recommend that UK customers reach out to their Sage Account Manager to find out when this release will be available for them.

Please note that some of the features included in 2020.2 are only available to Sage 300cloud customers, which is not currently offered in the UK (i.e. Bank Feeds, GL integration with Tax Services).

    Thanks!

    Hi Rachel,

No significant new product developments appear to be available in the UK.  This includes multiple contacts, Bank Feeds and GL integration with Tax Services.  What do Sage suggest we tell customers who pay annual maintenance fees?

Secondly, as a UK based Sage 300 consultant, why do I have to keep paying fees and getting certified for products we can't actually use?

If we should reach out to UK account managers, could you possibly do something similar and make these and future developments available to our customers?  It's been done before.

    Hi -

This release announcement was meant for our U.S. and Canadian customers, so I want to clear up any confusion there may be. Sage 300 2020.2 will be made available in the UK (and AU, SG, SA, etc.) in the coming months, as each region takes the new version to market. In the UK, the release will be announced to all partners via email like usual.

I am not able to speak to the features available in the UK, as the information above is for the NA region. I recommend you reach out to your Sage Account Manager to voice these concerns, and I did forward the feedback to our Product Manager as well.

    Thanks,

    Rachel

Thanks Rachel.  We always voice these concerns but the products remain unavailable for our customers.  Therefore I'm grateful that you have fed back to you Product Manager.

    hi Rachel

I don't know about the other countries you mentioned, but in the UK we are unable to get activation keys for Sage 300 2020.  No reason has been given, other than Sage UK has decided not to honour UK Sage 300 maintenance contracts and provide customers with updates to which they are entitled.  It's a disgrace and I do hope that your Product Manager can apply some leverage.

    Thanks

    hi Rachel

I note that there is an updated version of the UK Taxes module available:

    https://cdn.na.sage.com/docs/en/customer/300erp/2020/open/Sage300_UKTaxes_67A_1.pdf

Can you provide a download link for this please?

    kind regards

    paul

  • in reply to Paul C

Hi Paul.  Did you get anywhere with this?  It looks like an important and useful development of the module.

  • in reply to Stephen Bagnall

    hi Stephen

Not yet.  One of my customers noticed the release notes for the UK Taxes module update, but I can't find the download and obviously Sage 300 2020.1 is needed to install it.  It seems a bit odd that Sage is developing updates for a UK-specific module when no UK customers can actually take advantage.

  • in reply to Paul C

Yes and I put in many hours with the Canadian dev team to get this done so feel particularly upset about non-cooperation in UK.  It is truly bizarre.

If the UK won't give customers what they have paid for (they officially refuse to allow Multiple Contacts activations) perhaps North America can step in and provide direct or apply pressure.

    Hi &

Thanks for being patient as I looked into that question for you. I just updated Sage Knowledgebase Article 93529 "Sage 300 Tax Reporting Modules" with the latest download for the UK Tax Reporting Module. In the "What's new" section of the article, it lists which downloads are compatible with which versions of Sage 300.

I appreciate your feedback and completely understand your frustration. I am continuing to follow up with the product team (in NA & UK) to make sure we are working on resolving these issues for future releases to UK customers. I will send you both a private message with my email address, so we can follow up offline and make sure we are addressing all concerns. I want to be mindful of NA customers getting notifications for replies on forum posts, when the questions don't apply to them.

    Thanks,

    Rachel
