Yes, it's fine, Windows is Windows.  Anything Windows 7 or newer is fine.  Just install to its own folder, not C:\Program Files (x86).

Unfortunately, this is not entirely correct.  Windows 7 Home Edition is not supported, neither is Windows 10 Home Edition.  (I don't know why you'd use those editions though.)  However, I am asking specifically about Server editions.  They mention that Server 2012 R2 and 2016 x64 are supported, but don't mention editions.  As such, I am left to assume ALL editions are supported, but they only mention Standard and Enterprise editions elsewhere in their documentation.

FYI, it runs fine on Windows 10 home, regardless of what Sage says.

Yes, I suspect it will run just fine - but will Sage support it.  As my original post stated, Sage's documentation  notes that they support Server 2016 - but do not indicate any editions.  They later mention both Standard and Enterprise, but fail to mention Data Center.   I'm just trying to ensure I avoid any potential issues downstream by getting confirmation on whether they support the Data Center edition prior to install.  Surely somebody else must be using Data Center!?!?!??
