SAGE 300 + SQL

HI all,

I have two questions related to SQL + SAGE 300

1. Do you know if SQL 2017 will be supported by SAGE support along with SAGE 300 2018?

2. is there a guide on what features, specifications need to be installed for SQL 2016/2017? - the guides only refer to how to create the database.. but don't mention what features of SQL need to be installed..

Apologies in advance if the questions are somewhat basic..

1. Yes. 2. No features are required except basic databases. No replication, no text, no reporting, nothing fancy.

Thanks Jay..for your response.. another question if you have a min to answer.. When we install SQL , will it require any activation codes because we have SQL licenses through SAGE, just wondering if we should should skip any licensing questions when installing the SQL portion.. thanks in advance

You have to buy your own SQL licenses, unless you use the free SQL version, which has a max of 10 Gb for any single database.

can you please send me the link for the free version.. all i see is the SQL 2016 Developer version that is free. Also i'm assuming SQL CAL ilicenses are different from the license that we need to activate the SQL product.. correct? because we have CALs through SAGE...
