Use additional costs and pick the same vendor

Thanks for your reply, but with Additional Costs, in the PO setup, I need to put a Vendor Code in the Additional Costs, but the freight is all vendor.

If the freight is for a different vendor, then you need to add it to the original receipt, then do two separate invoices for the product vendor and freight vendor.

So, there is no way to add a line on PO Invoice Entry, correct?

Too bad, if we have a PO for Vendor A, and the Vendor A for the same PO invoices us for freight, it wouldn't make sense to create a new receipt and a new invoice when it is the same Vendor A and same invoice....

In that case you use additional costs.

Maybe I am not understanding it, sorry. I created a Additional Cost for Freight. I left the Vendor Number blank since I want to use Additional Cost for Freight for all vendors. Since I left the vendor number blank, when I go to PO Invoice Entry/Additional Costs, I don't see the Freight. If I use Additional Cost and create Freight for each Vendor, I will have lots of Additional cost for Freight. Unless, I am not understanding it and you are saying that Additional Costs for Freight is not associated to a Vendor Number?? Thanks!

it sounds like you have your additional costs setup to be fixed to 1 certain vendor.  We have freight setup to be used for ANY vendor.  The only things that are locked to a certain vendor is the charges for Brokerage.   If you create a new additional cost, do it without assigning it to a certain vendor.
