An administrator or Developer cannot add this as an option for users? That means the users will always ask the Administrators to send them a temp password every time they locked themselves out? That's creating double the work for Admins and IT. Thank you for letting me know.
Ask your Sage consultant to put in a request, you might get lucky. FWIW, in 22 years this is the first time I've heard this.
Correct. An admin or a developer cannot add this option for users because the functionality doesn't exist. If the user forgets their password, then they must email the admins. It is annoying as an admin and a developer when users forget their passwords, but you soon learn who the persistent offenders are. I wrote a system like this for Sage CRM once and it worked like a charm, except the persistent offenders also forgot their email passwords as well, rendering the emailing of passwords to them a moot point.
