I am going through the database editor and moving some items into a different phase. I am using "Renumber Items" to change the phase code of multiple items at a time. One of the prompts is "Job Cost Phase" and the default option is "Don't Change". However, there is an option to "Synchronize to Estimating Phase Code". I am wondering what the difference is between the two selections. Does selecting "Don't Change" keep the costs coded to those items from associating with the new phase in reports cost reports? I just need more clarification on how these two options affect the way changes interact with other Sage softwares.
