In your report, use ODBC(RDO) as your database connector, and make sure there are no non-Accpac tables or views.

Plus if this is a datapipe report then any tables you add must be in a sub-report.

however, if a non-accpac table must be added in the form, how to make it work? the table is combined with other accpac table in the same database.

I ask about this because there was a Form which was designed long long ago by ex- colleague which was work. However, when i try to amend some field, it doesn't work.

Use a subreport, not a direct join.  

If that doesn't work or you don't understand what I mean, contact your Accpac business partner, you need professional guidance.
