I want to run Sage 300 ERP 2014 on Oracle database. Now when creating the database in Oracle server, what do I set for: Character Set National Character set I will really appreciate any response. This is the first time I am installing Sage 300 ERP to run on Oracle database.

I want to run Sage 300 ERP 2014 on Oracle database.

Now when creating the database in Oracle server, what do I set for:

Character Set
National Character set

I will really appreciate any response. This is the first time I am installing Sage 300 ERP to run on Oracle database.

Thanks I have gone through the 8 pages discussing Oracle and I didn't see any where with Character set. I will tell the database administrator to use the default settings.

Thanks for advising me Oracle will be dropped in future. I am already getting tired of it. The configuration of the database is too involving.

Stick with MS SQL Server, it is much simpler and it will be the only database supported in future versions.
