I don't know of any way to export only "active" customers' comments, but if you set that criteria on a regular Customer export, you can use that as a vlookup table to refine your Comments export after the fact.

There is no option when exporting Customer Comments, to set criteria for Active customers. You can do this for other customer exports, like Customer, or Statistics, but not Comments.

There is a limit to the number of records in an Excel file.

Try export to CSV, or Access.

I'm sorry, I should have included more details of my issue - it stops at 10 or 12 records, depending on the parameters set. So I assume some character in one of the comments is causing an issue. The number of records is not the limiting factor.

Isolate which customer, then look at the record.

I ran into this issue as well, exporting as a CSV worked.
