I will preface this with that I am not the most technical person around.
We have a client who their sage is running ridiculously slow, I would have jumped out the window by now. All accounts their IT keep telling me that the servers are fine and they are using resources well.
Client has been running sage for 10plus years and its just got really bad now. To be honest they have a lot hanging off these servers and ultimately nothing new servers would not fix.
The configuration used to be that they had two servers - TS (windows server 2008 r2) and SQL(windows server 2008 r2 standard - SQL 2008 R2)
TS had the following installed
- Sage Accpac
-XM Oxygen web store
-XM Symphony Web store that they are bringing on line
SQL had the following
- Sage CRM
- Sage SEI
-Acdevpos
- Database
Recently their IT brought up another Virtual server we call Apps server to spread the load
TS now has following installed
- Sage Accpac Workstation install
APP now has installed (Windows server 2012 R2)
- Sage Accpac
-XM Oxygen web store
-XM Symphone Web store that they are bringing on line
SQL had the following
- Sage CRM
- Sage SEI
-Acdevpos
- Database
There has been no change in performance, (which I know without more memory stats you cant tell), but from the TS if I click on accpac the sign on info comes up quick, then you choose a company and then when it trys to open it just says "propogating system info" for about 5 minutes then opens.
Then the order entry screen will open fine, but then to change to PO, another two minutes, then the system will say not responding. I have had them disable all virus software and no improvement.
Is there any diagnostics or way to work out the culprit? IT are not being that helpful
Sorry for the vague info but its worth a shot. Obviously I cant upgrade to 2016 due to the server versions on SQL.
