Is it possible to create bar codes in sage 300 2016?

I am not sure of what you are looking for: a place to store barcode number, printing of barcode number or ?

well a client requested to have bar codes generated from sage. I guess printing of bar codes number.

Barcode are fonts used in Crystal reports. Some are free, some are not. http://www.idautomation.com/
