Excel has to be 32 bit
It is Excel 2013....has to be 32 bits?
Yes
Get it to ask IT changing that...in other PC with Excvel 2013 32 bits also error but just : ""Error in openinng Xla macro".....macros enabled...any suggestion?
Check your work, you've made a mistake.
Not sure whats the problem.....everything its working just FR that error.....thanks
Do I need to add add-in manually in Excel to fix? I check everything and it doesnt work. I check directly from installation at server and there FR works perfect. All problems in Workstations, when Star FR Designer we get "Error in opening Xla macro"
Did you run WSSETUP\Setup.exe as Administrator, with no errors?
Yes sure. We already get reports, enter transactions, run processs, run custom cryrstal reports, etc......only issue with FR in workstations !!!
Even we run regacc.exe at server.....not sure if we need to reinstall Excel there.....apparently need to be sure VBA shared features must be selected but anyway FR works with previous Sage....we just finish to upgrade to Sage 300 2018!!!
I mean reinstall Excel at workstations....at server FR works !!!
If you don't have any luck, we have a new, fully integrated financial reporter called FRS with more features and it uses Crystal - not Excel. See: http://www.dingosoft.co/frs.html
Thanks could you send me info or brochure.....in this case we have a very complex FR report that uses more than 12 spreadsheets to convert everything to cost/hr, so recreate not sure if possible and lot of work.....but now FR is working in a few PCs so it is something related to some workstatons only
More info.....in some workstations FR is working with Excel 32-bits same version installed in same workstations that doesnt work....all of them has antivirus....so we need to check differences between them and also check if all Excel components are installed as I found a document that tells something about install some components of Excel related to VBA projects or so....any idea?
Hi Oscar. You can download the brochure here: http://dingosoft.co/files/FRS_Brochure.pdf. Yes, sounds like a lot of work as whilst FRS is very similar to FR for standard reporting (it can actually automatically convert basic FR reports to FRS), doing more advanced reporting means converting from Excel to Crystal, which is a bit of a change.
Thanks could you give a demo next week?
Hi Oscar. Please contact your Business Partner to arrange a demo. There is also an 18 minute demo of the 2017 version online here: https://youtu.be/KSv-Ee514_U. I will be doing a new demo video (as well as training videos) of the 2018 version once the webscreens are finished.
Hi we are BP...yes I see demo just want to be sure complex report we get actually from FR could be done with your FRS, its more a demo to ask particular needs about report design process. Implementation details.
Sorry - in that case, send me an email me at: [email protected] and we will take it from there. Cheers John
