We have clients complaining that the grid displays NO results... I can't replicate it yet, but you have given me something to check for.

I have tested in 2014 today and it works fine, so obvisouly a glitch brought on by sp3

We are having lots of issues at a client with finders - would I be at risk to do a reinstall of the system manager and just SP2?

I have logged with Sage in Australia and apparently North America looking at but I have heard nothing

"I can reproduce the problem in 2012 PU3 and PU2. I don’t see any difference in behavior between PU2 and PU3.

I will escalate this to Development but I do not believe this warrants a hot fix. Is the customer expecting a fix? If so, please provide details why this is critical for the customer."

Last month I had another issue that Sage acknowledged was a glitch. It is in 6.0 OPs enquiry - so an older and now marginally supported version.

Sage gave a similar response ,and also sent me a lovely  form entitled 'Business Impact Statement'.    I'll email it to you now :)

So Sage have a new policy not to fix their bugs?  wow I might have to start giving out their number direct to clients

I reported a bug last year about a problem with the segment list in Gen Ledger. It will let you delete segment codes that are still used on inactive accounts.  (it will not let you do it if they are active) However, when you run year end closing you will get a system error if it has to hit any of those inactive accounts that had transactions before being made inactive.   They told me it was a bug but no plan to fix - very low priority.    Welcome to the club.

This issue was escalated to our R&D and it is being investigated. We'll provide an update as soon as an action (hotfix or next PU) is determined for this.

Yes I do encountered the same issue with the finder or F5 key after installing the PU3.

This issue (the finder keys) has been fixed in the upcoming PU4 for Sage 300 ERP 2012. It is targeted to be available for early adopters around first week of June 2014. If you are interested to be one of the early adopters of PU4 please contact your local Sage support office.

In regards to the issue with segment deletion, Sage 300 ERP R&D team is reviewing the case for Sage 300 ERP version 2012 and 2014 and will come up with a plan to address it.  

I saw this at North America's Knowledgebase:

"This has been excalated to the Development Team for further review.

For now, do not select Go to Filter First or highlight the detail grid before entering a Filter value."

However, in my case regardless the Go to Filter First from the Global Settings menu is selected I was not able to type a value in the Filter after changing the Find By. I have to click or tab to the detail grid and go back to the Filter field to enter the value.
