Click the Dropdown that says Withdrawals and change it.

Delete the first line in the details - if there is one.

You may want to change your bank setting to not default to a GL account.

There is no dropdown in the bank entry screen of Sage 300 ERP 2012

There is just a totally grayed out inaccessable box that says "Withdrawals"

Let me make this very clear...We are running Sage 300 ERP 2012. In Bank reconciliation there is a reconciliations tab where you can click off on stuff. If the stuff is not there, you can generally add it there as long as it is a payment (withdrawal). I need to add a Bankcard Merchant DEPOSIT!. When i am in the reconciliations tab and I open the bank entry, all I get is a totally greyed out inaccessable box that says "Withdrawals". Somewhere in the settings or the back rec setup there must be a way to allow deposits in the bank entry box...NOT JUST WITHDRAWALS!, but I can't find it. If you know where it is, please give me explicit, detailed directions on how to get there. Thanks for the help.

Not possible...the details box is in the reconciliations box and applies only to already existing deposits and

they cannot be changed or modified in any way I can figure out. There is no details box in bank entry. I still say there has to be some way to "allow" it using settings either for bank recs or for the bank itself, BUT I CANNOT FIND IT!

The "details" grid is in the bank entry screen, not the reconciliation tab.  If a distribution code is defaulted for the bank entry, you have to delete it.

Go to Common Services, Bank Services, Bank Setup, Options.

On the Processing tab clear out the fields for Default Distribution Code and Default GL Account.

Save and Close then try your Bank Entry screen again - the Deposits should magically appear.
