Budget in Sage 300 ERP and Sorting Features

Question

I am totally new to the budget feature in Sage 300 ERP. I have watched and read many tutorials. From watching I understand the best thing to do is open a budget set in Sage and export it to Excel and then work in Excel using the model. I can then enter all my data in Excel and then import it back into Sage. 
 My preferance is definitley to enter my details in excel and then import into Sage 300 ERP. 
 We have very lengthy accounts broken down into segments. For example: 
 423200000-2000000-70 - Kind of like a Department / Account #/ and a Location. I would like to be able to sort my accounts by the last two digits. As you can see we have all of our accounts set up into three segments. So, what I am asking is, is it possible for me to sort them by one of those segments. 
 And if so, details would be greatly appreciated! Thanks! Maggie

You can only filter on the finder screen or export screens, not on the actual budget screen. 
 in the budget screen open the finder screen Click on the settings menu and add the 3 segment to the list. Then click on the Set criteria button. Once that screen opens find the segment you want to filter by and click on the add button. This will add the segment to the column title below, double click in the space below that and in the window that opens up enter 70 for example and click OK and save. Whenever you open the finder for budget screen it will now only show your accounts where that segment is equal to 70. This only affects the finder for budget and nothing else. If you only want to export out those accounts only you need to set a criteria on the export file itself.
