Change invoice date on AP invoice after posted and paid.

Is it possible to change the date on an invoice that is posted and payment has been applied when the invoice date is incorrect (dated for a future period) but payment is correct (current period)? If so, how?

I have no idea what that is or how to do that. Our company is new to sage and I am learning how it works. Would you please tell me how? The more I can figure out this program the better! Thank you.

Login to the SQL Server and use SQL Management Studio to edit APOBL.

Put in a debit note applying to that document and date it the correct date then put in a credit note dated the incorrect date, that will shift the invoice into the correct period and the credit note will clear the incorrect date - safer than editing database tables
