Email print destination / Windows 10 / IBM (Lotus) Notes

We have upgraded to Sage 300 2017 premium, which I had hoped would fix our "print to email" issue, but it seems to have made it worse?

With version 2014, we could (at least) run Sage 300 in XP SP3 compatibility mode and it would invoke and start Lotus Notes and create an email. We can't seem to make this work at all now - is is completely broken?

They added the option to email via SMTP, which works, however we send order confirmations and invoices to different email addresses and often we need to manually enter the email address for confirmations if the customer has a number of buyers. The SMTP option doesn't allow any user intervention (actually doesn't give any indication at all that it worked - I had to check my email server logs to see that emails were sent)

Am I missing something?

Thanks - we already use PrintBoss for batches of invoices and that works wonderfully. I can make it work for a single order confirmation, but it is not as elegant a solution as the original MAPI email system was. We really liked having an email created and addressed in our email system directly that we could choose to send as is or edit and send. The PrintBoss solution requires more workarounds.
