Sure, same basic result, it all depends on your I/C account sets and which accounts you want to hit.

I second what Jay says, Shipment and Receipt. Always avoid IC Adjustments as far as possible, very error prone when users don't know what they are doing - this is the fastest way to mess up your inventory.

Legally it's a separate entity, I'd suggest an OE order, shipment and invoice in one to show the receivable with a PO order, receipt and invoice in the other  to show the payable.
