Error: Download and install the Microsoft Data Access component

SOLVED

Hi,

Client has Sage 300 2019 PU4 and faces a problem when importing or exporting data on any screen. Here is a screenshot:

MS Office 2019 32 bit is installed and MicroSoft office Access database engine 2007 is installed.

I have removed and reinstalled Sage, installed MDAC from Microsoft with no success.

Any ideas?

    Hi Marios.

A guy called Philip Nel gave me the answer:

A simple fix, change regional settings to English Europe and it works, i think the mdac drivers is set for English Europe, one can still set your formats to what ever your settings should be like 2 decimals, Currency symbol, date format and measure settings but must use English Europe for Regional settings and make sure you have a "," as list separator

    Hi

Thanks for sharing what worked for you. Ran this by the team as well who said that yes, Regional Settings are important, Access cannot be viewed when regional setting are set to French for example. Rather than EU they mentioned that It has to be set to English US. Perhaps this is related to your location.

They also advised that ’if your IT or someone accidently uninstalled Microsoft Office Access Database Engine 2007 (English) from the control panel, then they have to run a repair or reinstall Sage 300 to get Microsoft Office Access Database Engine 2007 (English) to reinstall again.
