Emailing AR Invoices out of Sage

With one client, when they email AR invoices directly to their customers, the attached PDF is named "tmpxxxx.pdf", with the x's being random numbers and letters. For my other clients, the attached pdf is named the same as the crystal report, so for example, ARDINVO.pdf.  In those cases, I can rename the crystal report  to something like Invoice.rpt, and that makes more sense.

I know I can do this with PrintBoss, but I shouldn't have to and would love to know if anyone has resolved this same issue.  TIA

    I agree that you shouldn't HAVE to use PrintBoss, but it is a powerful tool that gets the job done for a  $495USD purchase + amazing tech support for $100/yr.  The $795 Enterprise version provides enhanced file naming and file management functions, among other things.  The unfortunate reality is that Sage is not particularly interested in improving Sage 300, except for adding web screens, so making good use of 3rd party products is the simplest way to add functionality.

    Cost is not the issue with PB, it's having to rewrite their reports, which are customized.  I understand and appreciate what you're saying though.  I don't understand why I have no issues in most of clients, but for this one, we get the funky file name.
