Sage 300 and scalability/load balancing

Hi all,

I am planning to have cloud server hosting for Sage 300. By standard, I will need 3 different servers which is for Application, Web application, and database.

Can we do load balancing for the Sage 300 web app or the database just to handle the traffic? Considering this situation: During end of year sales, a lot of activity/entry/transaction will be done and the client prefer to use web app as they will be working on site such as the mall.

Thank you.

    Hello Jay,

Likewise, I am planning to run a cloud hosted Sage 300 STANDARD and Sage 300 People with three (3) Servers for applications, Web applications and Database. Sage 300 is running 10 Users and Sage 300 People will run 5 Users for transactional processing, but for ESS there would be 170 Users.

    Questions:

    1. Will Sage 300 Standard and Sage 300P be running on a single server or would they require to be setup as separate systems?
    2. Does Sage 300 support running High Availability in clusters behind Application Load Balancers?
    3. Does Sage 300 support the MS SQL Server database being run in RDS?
    4. Please provide us with the specifications you will be requiring for Web and Database tiers in terms of vCPU, Memory and Storage.
