NewCPP2 Error for Canadian Payroll 2024

When activating payroll for 2024 the New Canadian CPP2 tries to insert the new code to all employees.

If a GL account associated with a CPP code is inactive then activation fails.

Happens for clients that have several segments or break outs of cpp and may have older employees or older segments no longer being used.

Only option seems to be update the CPP related accounts to active and activate after that.  Then reset to Inactive after.

It is bad data, but historically there can be alot of left over project/programs/dept that are not longer used and cleanup on Employee records can be very extensive.

Should be changed so ignores for purposes of inserting a copy of CPP to CPP2.

there isn't really a fix that requires a separate hot fix..  you just have to mark the Company Profile Setting on the Options Tab "Non-existent G/L Account to "None", activate the tax update, then you can switch the option back.. what has been re-compiled in the current download is that during the activation, the setting is changed to None during the activation, and then reverted back once complete.
