Is this procedure correct?

Currently using V2017, need to move to a new server and upgrade to new version.

Already installed V2024 on new 2022 Server, and Database Setup is done.

Please confirm the following steps are correct:

1. Dump XXXINC data from old server,

2. Load XXXINC data to new server,

3. THEN activate data in V2024.

Am I missing anything?

Also, prior to LOAD, system manager tables are empty, right? then how data in Optional Fields gets populated/updated if we are only loading XXXINC, not XXXSYS?

Even importing User Authorisations is very slow, there's obviously a lot of changes going on. My new phrase is going to be , "Oh you are moving servers" it would be a great time to review…

Hi digitmasters always dump and load the System Database too as it contains user security settings, currency rates, and a few other things. Using a blank System Database can be problematic.

Hi Tim,

New version license info entered during installation, in load xxxsys, will this case an "older version found" error?
