There is no activation for optional fields.

What you need to do is clear the records for optional fields from the database and then delete the optional fields, then delete the optional fields license file.

"Clear the records for optional fields from the database" - what does this mean exactly.  I have ensured there are no fields setup in ACCPAC and I know about the license file.  I am assuming this is something I need to do directly in the SQL tables?   CSAPP in the company database?

FWIW, if you use SQL Management Studio, you can quickly see all the optional tables with non-zero records.

As Jay says you need to hit all the "O" tables in the database. If you can delete the optional fields from Common Services, Optional Fields then you are good to go.

so just to be clear I am to drop those tables as in

DROP TABLE table_name;

Thanks for this thread; I just ran into the same thing. It turned out I missed two tables, APVNRO and APVGRO, but conversion went through anyway.  I cleared those afterwards.

Curiosity question: when I listed tables ending in O, there was one called APDPO ("Days Payable Outstanding").  Does anyone know how that table is used?  It has over 6K records in this database.

I think it's for the portal's Days Payables Outstanding snapshot. Surprised you have over 6k records though. The key field for the table is just the session date, so if we say there are 260 working days in a year, that's over 23 years worth of data. That would mean they started using A/P in 1994 - the year Sage 300 was first released. Of course, there was no portal back then, so I could be wrong ;-)

Thanks for clarifying what that table is for.  And your calculations are about right:  records go back to 1997!  So when APDPO came into being, it must have recalculated and recorded every day that payables were posted for the last 20 years. If we ever need to know the payables total for the end of the 20th century, we are prepared.
