Has anyone tried installing Accpac 6.0 workstation on Windows 8.1? A customer bought a Windows 8.1 tablet then asked us to install Accpac 6.0 workstation on it. The install ran, but during installation it tried to install .NET Framework 3.5, which failed with the message that it couldn't contact the site from which to install it. After installation, Accpac appears to work but reports dont run. Control Panel/programs shows .NET Framework 4 is already activated, but not .NET Framework 3.5. Trying to activate .NET Framework 3.5 from Control Panel/programs got the same result. I manually went to the .NET Framework 3.5 installation site and started the download and got the error that the installation required a windows component that would be contained in a windows update. I ran Windows Update and installed the first 39 updates I was offered, up to but not including KB2919355, which has caused problems on other (non-Accpac) PCs. Should this eventually work?
