DBDUMP from 2012 DBLOAD into 2014?

SOLVED

I'm sure this isn't the best practice, but I'll ask anyway.

We have a need to do some work where we take data from one plain vanilla Sage 300 V 2012 system and post it into an equally vanilla Sage 300 V 2014 system.

Will dump and load work between versions?

Just a comment: if you load a dump from v2012 then you create an exactly replica of the source data - i.e. you create a copy of the original v2012 data no matter what version you use to run the dbload. There is no such thing as loading v2012 into v2014... you are simply loading a copy of the v2012 data and the end result is v2012 data.

I guess I don't understand your comment so let me ask another way...if I dump data from v2012, I get v2012 data.  I understand that.  If I then load it into v2014, will the resulting company in v2014 work properly? I ask because where I came from (Sage PRO) you could NOT do this with reliable results in the target company.
