Serial Number

Hi,

I just upgraded to Sage 300 ERP from Sage Accpac 5.4. I do data conversion step by step from version 5.4 till version 6.1. At Sage Accpac 5.4, we are using the Serialized Inventory.

Before the conversion, we have O/E Shipment Entry which have not been posted to Invoice yet. Inside the Shipment Entry, there are some items with serial number. So, after the conversion to version 6.1, we try to post the O/E Shipment to Invoice but we received error saying that the serial number is not valid

Anybody can help me so that i can post the shipment to invoice

You cannot ship serialized lines from before the upgrade. Make new orders, or delete and re-add the lines.

Thanks Jay but I still cannot get you... What u mean is at the OE shipment now, delete the item with serial number and then add in again?

Hi Jay, i deleted the line with serial number and add back the items in. But the this item does not allow the serial number to key in. Error message "Invalid input. This operation will result in invalid status for the serial number xxxxx of items xxxxx. When i check this serial number, the status is "Not Available". How to make the serial number available back?
