Bank Reconciliation Issue

Hi there,

We have an issues with our bank rec.October bank rec was posted but two of the entries did not get posted even though it was cleared as per bank statement. In the December bank rec, the two entries and still showing as outstanding and bank reconciles only it is ticked.

if this was an error on the data entry clerks part then October bank rec wouldn't have reconciled. But to my surprise, the bank, GL and statement for october matches.

please assist.

Hi jay,

i have restored the back day after bank rec was posted. the two entries concerned has a status of cleared and reconciled check box is ticked. reconciliation date is 31/10/2014.

if the entres were cleared then it should not be there in the first place. Also, the Bank rec report does not not show the two entries as cleared.

This is not a normal problem. Have you communicated with your local certified consultant?

They would tell me to run data integrity and tell me they will consult sage about. I ran data integrity and got the error that

E: Invalid input. Reconciliation date 31/10/2014 is in a locked period for Bank Services in Common Services' Fiscal Calendar.

That error is irrelevant. If your consultant can't help you, open a case with Sage.
