Simple... you can't. Unless you edit the data in the database.

How can you edit the data in the database? I guess I don't understand? Can you provide the steps to do so?

I'd recommend crediting the invoice and re-issuing it. If you're not comfortable editing the data then it might be better to play by the "standard rules" of making changes to Sage data.

No - if you don't know then that is not a place for you to be.
Follow Django's advice and do a credit note and re invoice.

A little background may help. I'm the IT manager and was asked this by our accountant. I do all the Sage upgrades/installs myself, so if I do get directions I'm pretty sure I can correct. I really don't use the product so I apologize for sounding ignorant on the subject but I'm very capable.

Our accountant thought it should be easy as in posted AP's, you can just edit the date and he thought the same thing should be able to be completed in posted AR's.

There were over 10 or 15 that were set to 2015 instead of 2016 so he was hoping for an easy fix. If it doesn't exist then I go back and say he will have to credit each and re-invoice.

It's an MS SQL database... AR invoices are stored in AROBL and AROBS.

If the invoice was entered with a 2015 date, the entry was posted to the GL for last year. That will effect last years retained earnings. Changing the date in the database will not change the financial statement. You still need to move the GL entries from last year to current year. As mentioned previously, easier to do a credit and let the system reverse everything.

I had a 50% change of guessing the right one :) Actually more like 80% since most users run MS SQL server.
Run PCC, open the database, open the tables and plug away.

I'll take that answer. I always like to make sure that I exhaust all options before going back to them with an answer they probably won't like. They will just have to deal with it and hopefully not make any entry mistakes in the future. Thanks again!
