(How) can we set PrintBoss as the default print destination for printing checks, in Sage 300 ERP 2014?

I would like to set PrintBoss as the default print destination for check printing specifically. I don't want PrintBoss to be the Windows default printer or the default print destination for Sage reports, etc. If I recall correctly, our reseller had set it for us this way in Sage ERP Accpac 5.6A. I can't (yet) seem to find the correct series of (left/right) clicks to get it set back to this. :-)

    If I recall correctly you have to print once, successfully, and then those settings are remembered in the .ism files, per user. What I don't recall is if you have to print directly to the printer for it to save this or if you have to print to preview.

    Printing really shouldn't be this hard to set up.

    In your AP check in Crystal Reports, set the printer to PrintBoss. If Sage is set to Preview rather than Printer, this is all you need and it will default to the PrintBoss printer for all users. If their preference is to skip preview and go straight to printer, you have to set it in each of the Sage windows from which they might print: File > Print Setup > Specific Printer. Then, when a user prints from that window, this user's saved settings will be used.
