Sage 300 .2014 NET Remoting service will not install

SOLVED

Sage 300 2014 PU3

Terminal server on Windows 2008

Upgraded from 5.6 to 2014 and all went well when performing the test upgrade. On the live upgrade the 2014 was uninstalled and re-installed and at this point the .NET Remoting service will not install. It shows as installing when the installer runs but it does not appear as a service and the files are never copied to the commonfiles\sage\sage 300 erp folder

We have run the .Net repair tool and removed and re-installed all the Sage 300 but still no luck

If you are talking about Workstation Setup:
I have install V2014 many times and it never installs the .NET libraries anymore.
Just go to the runtime library and run smdotnet.exe
I have never had the problem on the server - if it is on the server try and run the smdotnet.exe as well - this may help !!!

smdotnet.exe was not in the runtime folder or anywhere else. Concluded the install fell over before the files were copied over. I copied it from another install and when it ran it errored with 1911 saying unable to regsiter TLB. Found this was an issue caused by Microsoft Update KB3072630. Uninstalled that and the .NET install worked as expected!
