DESKTOP is not responding

Good morning/afternoon,

I was wondering if anyone had a solution to the random error message "DESKTOP is not responding".

My users will get this sporadically throughout the day. 

History: We purchased a few new systems that came with Windows 10 on them. We were using Sage ERP 2014 at the time. We found that throughout the day the Windows 10 machines would occasional get the DESKTOP error message.

It was suggested that upgrading to Sage 2016 should resolve the issue, so a few weeks ago we upgraded. This doesn't seemed to have helped.

We've tried the following to no avail:

  • reinstalling the full Sage product to the server and then re-installing the workstation edition on all the workstations
  • Running accpac.exe in Windows 7 compatibility mode

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
