How to fix printing invoice directly to printer sage 300 v2017-2

Have to print-preview in order to get custom invoice to print on printer. Going direct to printer does nothing.

Am sure has been asked before but I couldn't find the answer.

Check your printer name: very long printer names lead to problems.

Thanks, printer name is 17 chars.

Have support ticket from Sage, case# 8006265950, no answer yet.

A little more info: it's not just invoices, also happens to confirmations and credit notes
