Insert into PMTRAN failed
I have checked  ICSHEH and ICSHED and everything looks normal

Running DI now - it takes hours

DI won't fix this.  You need data surgery.

RVSPY no good just says I went away to insert into PMTRAN and I'm not happy

hoping  DI might say something intelligent to identify a table or something.

All I got now is a transaction that looks fine, counters that look fine (as far as I know)

RVSPY should be your friend on this.  Prior to the .INSERT error, there should be clues to the values that are being posted.

there were multiple errors.
DI fixed some, RVSPY also showed a vendor code with a ? in it - a sign that there is a null value in the code. I fixed that
Told I.T. to restart SQL server in case it went a little funny.
