I also want to show the two years of sales in different columns. If I run the report ending on November 30, 2016, I want records only for December 1, 2014 - November 30, 2016. Also I want to see the 12/1/14 - 11/30/15 in one column and the remaining sales in a second column. Any ideas?

do you know how to write with crystal? Just make a new report and use a datediff() function to create the range based on your parameter. then the 2 columns would have formulas to separate the years.

I am trying to use Excel and Intelligence Reporting to be more flexible in the output. I now have the sales showing up nicely, but the periods are out of order when I put the period field as a column. Any ideas?

i'm betting that the periods show as 1,2,3...10,11,12? if they showed as 01,02,03 then they would sort properly. They need the leading zero. I don't use the intelligence reporting, so I'm not sure if you can change that output.

Yes, You can customize the existing "Sales History Report" to achieve the required functionality. In customized "Sales History Report" one parameter can be added to accept the end date where user can enter required end date. Further the report's record selection formula can be set to print the records from two years back to till the end date inputted. As start date can be calculated for the report using the end date parameter.
