Run as Administrator

SUGGESTED

Some clients are experiencing errors when trying to run Sage Intelligence.  The users do not have local Administrator privileges.  However, If they start Sage by "Run as Administrator," they do not have any problems.  The IT department will not give the users local admin.

Is there a registry permission that can be given?

TIA

We have had problems like this in the past with Sage Intelligence when the workstation setup was not installed by an Admin profile. When we uninstalled and reinstalled the workstation while logged in as the Admin profile and ran RegAcc, it sometimes corrected the issue. Then non-admin users on that workstation were then able to log in and access SI without errors. It seemed very dependent on the clients' environment, as it only worked with some companies.

    Gabriela,

We did installed with users, named Sage, with the local admin privileges and we still having issues for each Sage users in which the user has to be in local admin group to be able to run Sage, otherwise, it will be prompted with admin credential.

Please let me know how to remedy these issues?

Thank you and help is greatly appreciated.

I have a customer who had a TS and the IT person wants everybody to run Sage and BI on the TS BUT sometimes Excel freezes in the middle of a BI report. So I did a full install of Sage 300 on the user's machine. She does not have local admin rights. The BI report worked for some time and now it is not working unless I say "run as administrator". IT will not allow this. Does not look like there was anything changed. It worked this morning, she ran her report and saved it and then went in to re-open the report and it stopped working. If she just double clicks on the Sage 300 icon and looks at the license manager it does not see the designer license and does not see the number of report managers correctly. We have uninstalled and re-installed BI and put an exclusion in the antivirus but it still does not work.
