1. If you use AR items, it's quantity * price, if you don't, it's just the line amount

2. I don't know, in 20 years nobody asked it before, and it's not on any reports.  It's probably for some 3rd party module.

on item 2 I think it means "without tax included in price".

Thank you both for your replies. My data looks a bit different:

1. I assume I must *not* be using "AR items" as I do not have ItemPrice defined....? (and only sometimes do I have a qty)

2. ExtendedAmountw/TIP is always equal to ExtendedAmountw/oTIP ... even when I have tax

3. In my ItemDetails table, the only reference I have to HC is when it comes to tax. So I have to join to my Invoice table to get this information and convert the line item amount to ZAR
