Changing @month@ to default to two digits

SUGGESTED

Is there a way to default the Intellligence parameters @month@ to default to two digits, i.e, 01, instead of a single digit?  We do not receive history unless we manually change the default period "1" to "01".

The global variables are not able to be modified. I usually go into Connector to change the field to numeric, which removes the leading zero and allows the @month@ to work perfectly.

thank you so much!  Unfortunately we don't have Connector but you have answered my question.

To be clear I understand how Connector works:  If we are to invest in Connector, we can modify the field to so that there is no need to add the leading zero for periods 1 - 9?  When you state that the change "removes the leading zero", do you mean that it removes the leading zero requirement?

That is correct. If you invest in Connector, you can modify the field so there is no need to add the leading zero for periods 1-9. For instance, with Connector I can go into the GL Transactions Details container, select on the period and change the EXPRESSION SOURCE according to my notes above and hit APPLY, and it will no longer have the leading zero requirement. Modifying the container means you are modifying the data that underlies the report. If you don’t want to buy Connector, you can hire a Sage Consultant who can do this modification for you (since they will have Connector) and then they can import the modified report onto your system.

If it is your first time doing it, I recommend that you get a Sage Consultant to help you through it, since this deeper level of customization can be complicated and things can go wrong. I also recommend that you first Export the report before making any changes (make sure it is unlocked in case it is one of those standard locked reports). Then import it back into your system to a new container & specify a new container name like GL Transactions 3-0 V2. That way you are making changes to different report/container combo that will not affect your original report (and its underlying original container).
